Five-A-Side Launches on Kickstarter!
We love a good old Kickstarted football game as you know! Get yourself over there to get backing 5-A-Side when it launches tomorrow! Here's the blurb from the game's creators...
The 'beautiful game' in beautiful 8-bit design. We're excited to bring you this original, Kickstarter exclusive football card game.
Based on the '5-a-side' format of the game played all over the world, the ambition was to create a fun, fast and nostalgic game for football (soccer) 'heads' - featuring cult players in retro 8-bit format. It also had to have "pick-up-and-playability"!
We're football fans first and foremost, coupled with a love for classic video games and the re-emergence of the retro gaming scene, the combination of a football card game with 8-bit influence felt like a fantastic combination - with all original artwork.
In short, you try and build a 5-a-side (hence 'Fiveaside') team from a deck of your favorite players in 8-bit form and score goals/points by having the team that totals the most player stars at 'Kick-off' - but Referee cards are designed to make that a challenging and slightly random journey!

Latest Addition to the Away From Home Shelf
Fair to say the Away From Home shelf is now creaking under the weight of football related card and plastic it's currently supporting. That won't stop us though. We're daft that way!
We've just taken delivery of another Kickstarted football classic in the form of the hard to find Plakks all the way from sunny Spain. More to come on this kick and flick effort soon.
